Jankiram MSV is a popular figure in the Indian AWS ecosystem. He started “Get Cloud Ready”, and provides cloud consulting under that brand. Recent news is that his company is acquired by Aditi Technologies which specialize in providing resources for short and long term contract positions at Microsoft and other such tech companies in USA.

Intel is getting ready to join the cloud computing race?

I have long said publicly that Intel will have to enter the public cloud market. The reasons are quite simple. There was a time when majority of the hardware was bought by individuals, or smaller and medium size companies. As these entities had limited bargaining power, Intel was able to get high margin for their hardware products.

AWS Launches CloudHSM (Hardware Security Module) For Managing Encryption Keys

AWS just released a new service CloudHSM  which stands for Cloud Hardware Security Module.Typically companies that needed their data encrypted before storing into AWS S3, or any other service, needed to manage these encryption keys themselves. Mostly these key were stored on-premise and thus it made hard co-ordinating with application and data in AWS.

AWS Elastic Beanstalk added support for Node.js

AWS Elastic Beanstalk service, which is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) like offering by AWS, recently added support for Node.js. Node.js is quickly becoming a very popular for distributed and scalable web applications. Unlike traditional web applications, Node.js is its own webserver, thus negating the need for a separate webserver in the application.

VMware Cloud offerings plans to take on AWS and other Cloud Services

VMware is the market leader in virtualization, but a forgotten name in Cloud. Famously the CEO said something in the essence that he is not worried about public cloud, but public clouds not running VMware. And that makes sense. AWS, the largest Public Cloud player, uses Citrix Zen and not VMware.

How to use AWS EC2 AMI Copy Feature
