Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances are the central part of Amazon.com’s cloud computing platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS). An instance type determines the hardware of the host computer used. Each instance type offers different compute and memory capabilities.

Introducing new AWS Feature: CloudWatch Logs

In the recently organized AWS Summit in New York, a new extension service to CloudWatch called CloudWatch Logs has been added to the AWS services catalog. Earlierly CloudWatch was only monitoring resource utilization so to monitor application level logs we have to opt for third party tools.

From an initiative back in 2010 by NASA & Rackspace to a worldwide community of 17670 members and 70 user groups across 140 countries and 391 Organizations involved is a laudable achievement in 4 years.
